From today to 11th September, VO Vintage, an event specifically for lovers of vintage watches and jewelry, will take the stage. Among the protagonists, Andrea Foffi, with an exhibition on the Omega Speedmaster

The short but intense story of VO Vintage has reached its third edition with a crescendo in the quality of VIP participants, the likes of which has never been seen before in Europe. Just mentioning a few names is enough to understand the caliber of the event: Sandro and Giulio Fratini and Auto Montanari among collectors, Bruno Bergamaschi, aka Giorgione, and Alessandro Squarzi as opinion leaders and influencers, experts such as Professor Ugo Pancani from the FHH - Foundation de la Haute Horlogerie, master watchmaker Luca Soprana, as well as exhibitors and top dealers such as Robert Maron, Luca Relogios, Luigi Loiero, Maurizio De Angelis and Stefano Mazzariol, some of whom are already regulars at the Vicenza event.



Making his first appearance at VO Vintage is Andrea Foffi, who will be making a double appearance: with Hipster, a showcase full of brands including some interesting independents, and with the “Magister Speedmaster Exhibition. Birth and evolution of an Icon”, a unique exhibition of 15 Omega Speedmasters taken from Foffi's private collection. He is the author (and publisher!) of a volume for true connoisseurs of the genre entitled “Magister - A Unique Andrea Foffi Speedmaster Selection”, produced in 2021 copies, the number that recalls the year of publication. «The exhibition and, first and foremost, the book, are a point of pride because they are the culmination of my collection, born out of passion when I was a kid. I loved going to flea markets, like Porta Portese, and it was there that my love for vintage watches, and the Speedmaster in particular, took root.



I always found it the most interesting of chrono watches, both aesthetically and in terms of content. One example is the Mir, in its 1994 special edition to celebrate 25 years since the moon landing. Twenty-eight examples were produced and of these, I own No. 1, a piece to which I have dedicated a luxury edition of the book: an XL version in a limited edition of only 40 copies and a cover that reproduces its case back. A precious scoop for collectors? Mir 1 and the coffee table book will go on auction in the Fall.»
